DALLAS (AP) – The Dallas Stars have signed Jordie Benn to a one-year contract.

The team announced the signing in a Wednesday statement. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

He led team defensemen in goals (9), power play goals (5) and overall points (32), and tied for assists (23).

Benn made his NHL debut in January against Detroit. The 6-foot-1, 200 pound defenseman played in two other Stars games, garnering two assists for the season.
