Cowboys Add Ex-TCU RB Ed Wesley

IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) – The Dallas Cowboys have added TCU running back Ed Wesley to the lineup days before they are scheduled to leave for training camp in Oxnard, California.

Wesley did not get picked in latest NFL supplemental draft.

During his three-year career at TCU, Wesley (5’8″, 196) ran for 2,442 yards and 21 touchdowns on 387 carries. He averaged 6.3 yards per carry over that three-year span with the Horned Frogs where he caught 22 passes, including three TD’s.

Wesley will replace No. 4 running back Darrell Scott, who was recently waived to make room on the roster. But to make the team, Wesley will likely have to beat out Phillip Tanner for a permanent roster spot.
