ISOLATED EVENING STORMS… THEN VERY HOT AND DRY FOR THE WEEKEND AND NEXT WEEK…
A few isolated storms have popped up along the Red River this afternoon.  They are very isolated and likely will stay up along the Red River.  I can’t rule out a few isolated storms in the metroplex this evening but they should be few and far between if any.  Gusty winds and heavy rain will be the main concern.  There is higher moisture content over the metroplex than last evening.  That is evident of dew points still around 70 degrees in Fort Worth.  That could be enough moisture to trigger a few isolated storms.  Something to watch.

TEMPERATURES heat up the next few days with highs in the 102 to 107 range this weekend and thru most of next week.  This heat up is thanks to a upper level high pressure system parking itself right over North Texas.

HEAT ADVISORY FOR DALLAS AND TARRANT COUNTY THIS WEEKEND…
A heat Advisory is in effect for Dallas and Tarrant County for Saturday and Sunday.  Air temperatures will climb above 100 degrees both days.  But when you factor in the humidity it will feel like 105 both afternoons.  If outside take caution to stay hydrated and rest.  This Heat Advisory could be expanded to include more counties in North Texas, but right now it is just Dallas and Tarrant.

Here is the 7-day forecast.
