MIDLAND (AP) - Republican Mitt Romney has used stops in West Texas to raise money for his GOP presidential campaign.
Romney appeared Tuesday night in Midland. He’s promised to roll back the Medicare spending cuts approved under President Barack Obama.
Romney’s schedule Wednesday includes flying from Texas to Iowa. Romney, during remarks in the Midwestern battleground state, is expected to focus on the increases in the nation’s debt during Obama’s term.
Obama is campaigning Wednesday in Nevada, one of the states hit hardest by the nation’s economic slowdown.
The president plans to meet with teachers at a Las Vegas high school and promote his administration’s plans to make higher education more affordable.
