A cold front is coming! But it won’t get here until Friday night. This means more 100 degree weather all the way thru Friday. But behind this front the weekend it will feel just wonderful.
Today was the 31 day this year with high temperatures 100 degrees or hotter. Last year we had 71. The next few days will feature high temperatures between 100 and 104.
Here’s a look at temperatures during the 3 o’clock hour around the metroplex.
COWBOYS vs GIANTS FORECAST…
Of course I will be forecasting a Cowboys victory tomorrow night in New York, but mother nature might bring a little rain into the game. There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day in New York with the greatest coverage coming before 4pm. After 4pm, spotty showers and isolated thunderstorms will still be lingering. That means there is a chance of a little rain during the game which kickoffs around 730pm Central Time.
Here is a look at the CBS 11 High Resolution Forecast Model for New York City. It will show you where the rain will be located hour by hour. And then at the end of the animation the Cowboys Forecast pops out.
Or if you don’t want to see the animation, here is the forecast.
COLD FRONTS ARRIVAL…
As mentioned above, the cold front will arrive Friday night into Saturday morning. There will likely be a few showers and thunderstorms with that front. It is too early to tell if we will have severe weather with the front, but at this point it doesn’t look like a severe weather event. But if the timing changes where the front arrives more during the day on Friday that could have an impact on the severity.
This is a really nice animation showing the front and the upper level wind pattern change that will occur by the end of the week.
After the front passes, we have beautiful weather on tap for the weekend! Check out the forecast for Saturday and Sunday. I think you are going to like it.
