ARLINGTON (AP) - Texas center fielder Josh Hamilton and third baseman Adrian Beltre are not in the starting lineup because of injuries.
Hamilton received an injection for his sore left knee Wednesday night and is expected to be return for the Rangers’ game Friday night against Seattle.
Beltre, who strained his left shoulder while diving to stop a grounder, had an MRI Wednesday night that revealed slight inflammation. He is day to day.
Texas infielder Mike Olt is expected to miss 10-14 days because of plantar fasciitis on his right foot. The rookie had an MRI for and visited a foot specialist Thursday.
Michael Young replaced Beltre at third for Thursday night’s game against Cleveland, and Leonys Martin started in center for Hamilton.
