DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” is based on a novel written by Stephen Chbosky, who also wrote the screenplay and directed the movie.

It’s a coming-of-age tale about some high school kids in the early ‘90’s and features some of the best music from that period.
