COLLIN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - One North Texas non-profit organization is looking for volunteers willing to go shopping.
Clothe a Child Frisco is an organization that works to provide new clothing for economically disadvantaged schoolchildren enrolled in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
The goal of the charity is to provide $100 worth of new clothing to each child in the program.
Now that the money has been raised, Clothe a Child is looking for volunteers to help kids in Little Elm, Frisco and Prosper shop for new clothes. The shopping excursions will happen on three Saturday’s this month.
Anyone volunteering for the first time is required to attend an orientation meeting. While humanitarian fashionistas are appreciated, the only requirement to volunteer is being at least 16 years old.
The first shopping event will be held at 6 a.m. on October 6 and will benefit children in the Frisco Independent School District. The last two shopping days will be on October 13 and 27 and will be for children in the Little Elm and Prosper ISDs.
