DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – “Argo” stars Ben Affleck as real-life CIA Agent Tony Mendez, who helped some Americans escape from Iran during the Hostage Crisis. Affleck also directs this movie, his follow up to last year’s Oscar nominated “The Town.”
Affleck has been criticized for downplaying Canada’s involvement in the rescue depicted in “Argo,” which has been known as the “Canadian Caper” for years. He changed the wording of the postscript to address those complaints.
