COLD FRONT MOVING THRU THIS AFTERNOON…
After a really warm early afternoon that featured temperatures warming into the upper 80s, our cold front is passing thru DFW. As of 3pm the front has just cleared Love Field. The only way you can tell is to look at the winds. Ahead of the front winds are out of the W and SW. Behind the front they are out of the NW. Here’s a look at the wind gusts as of 3pm.
Temperatures will be falling back into the low 80s by 4pm and 5pm. And once the sun goes down temperatures will drop off very quickly. Here are the temperatures as of 3pm. Note the cooler temperatures in the low 80s already for Decatur and Bridgeport.
Winds will decrease later this evening and with clear skies, dry air and a northerly wind, temperatures will be quite chilly. Here’s a look at the lows for tonight. These will be the temperatures we wake up to tomorrow morning.
