ELLIS COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – Chuck and Sandra Mckee are the builders and owners of the Munster Mansion. Ten years ago they decided they wanted to build a house that looked just like the house from the popular sitcom from the 1960s.

The problem is that house and the plans did not exist, so they watched all 70 episodes to get a good idea of how the house was laid out. And since Sandra was the same height as Lily Munster they counted her steps across the set to give them a scale to work with on their new home.

The Mckee house became a popular tourist attraction, but it is only open two nights a year for visitors. This Friday and Saturday night from 7 p.m. to midnight visitors can buy a ticket to tour the replica.  Butch Patrick, the actor who played Eddie Munster, will be part of the fun.

Tickets cost $20 for adults and $12 for children under 12. All the proceeds go to the Ellis County SPCA.
