Reporting Jeff Ray

A WINDY, WARM SUNDAY

High today at DFW hit 89°, the warmest day in October so far. The highest wind gust recorded was 37mph.

STORMS POSSIBLE MONDAY

An upper level low is swinging out of the southwest corner of the U.S. and moving over us just to the northwest.  This will be enough to get some strong storms going in north Texas by Monday afternoon, especially to the north and northwest of the metro area. We’ll keep the storm chances in the metro area around 20% but double it for Bowie over to Sherman.

STAYING WARM AND HUMID

For the rest of the work week it’ll be in the 80′s with morning clouds and windy afternoons. The next cold front arrives late Friday. It’ll likely be very wind on Friday and then much colder on Saturday. I expect highs next weekend to only be in the 60′s with near freezing temperatures by Sunday morning.
