MANSFIELD (CBSDFW.COM) - The Mansfield school district is inviting parents back to class for some technology training.
Monday morning students will go to class with their district-issued iPads. Monday night, the parents will be taught about how the students are using the new technology.
Mansfield ISD Assistant Superintendent Doug Brubaker says Monday’s ‘Parent Night’ will help them better understand the iPad’s classroom use.
Some of the sessions will even be taught by students.
The district has issued 9,500 iPads to students this school year. Brubaker says the tablets have proven popular with students.
The district has utilized the iPad for notetaking, digital textbooks and group projects.
The parent training starts at 6:00 Monday night at Mansfield’s Performing Arts Center.
