DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A bomb threat at the JP Morgan Chase International Plaza caused officials to evacuate one of the buildings this morning. The plaza sits at the North West corner of Dallas Parkway and Spring Valley Road in Farmers Branch.
City of Framers Branch Spokesperson Tom Bryson says that a maintenance worker found a box in the hallway on the 7th floor of the building this morning just before 7:00 a.m. On the box was written, “This is a bomb. Do not touch.”
Bryson says that the approximately 100 people who were in the building at the time were evacuated.
The Dallas Bomb Squad was called in and determined that the box was empty.
The Farmers Branch Police Department will determine whether or not to investigate the incident further.
