IRVING (AP) – The Dallas Cowboys have a penalty problem. Or do they?
Dallas committed 13 penalties in last weekend’s 38-23 victory against Philadelphia. It was the fourth time the Cowboys have drawn 13 flags, but they’re 3-1 in those games.
The Cowboys are 0-2 with their season-best penalty total of two.
The Dallas defense committed 10 of the penalties against the Eagles, and rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne had five of them. Nearly half were offsides against the Cowboys defense.
Dallas (4-5) is tied for the second-most penalties in the league at 74 heading into Sunday’s home game against Cleveland (2-7).
