HOUSTON (AP) - Retail gasoline prices across Texas have continued their slide by falling a nickel this week.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump has slipped to $3.18 per gallon.
Gasoline prices across the country are also lower with the nationwide average down 2 cents, to settle at $3.44 per gallon.
The association survey found El Paso has the most expensive gasoline statewide this week at $3.33 per gallon. The cheapest gasoline is in Beaumont at $3.06 per gallon.
Officials with AAA Texas say lower crude oil prices, reduced demand for fuel and economic growth concerns continue to pressure gasoline prices. The association predicts retail gasoline prices will fall even more during next week’s busy Thanksgiving holiday travel period.
