FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Fort Worth native Kyle Sherman has been performing his original music seriously for about the past decade, bringing inspirational songs to North Texas and beyond. “I’ve been a worship pastor for the majority of that time,” Sherman told CBS 11 News. “The last church I was with was, which is based out of Oklahoma. I was part of the campus in Fort Worth.”

Sherman said that he is focused on making positive and uplifting music for the whole world to enjoy. “I try to do what my favorite writers do, which is just pull inspiration from life. And so, everything for what we write comes from faith, comes from our faith in Christ,” he explained. “The way that that’s most applicable for people is to come just from life experience — from my two kids, my 3-year-old and my 1-year-old, and my wife and I — just living everyday life.”

The musician’s latest album (entitled “Hear Me”) was released on October 9 and can be purchased now in stores or online on iTunes or Amazon. He has a lot of big plans for the coming year, in terms of promoting the record and touring, but much of them could not be shared quite yet.
