NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Stores opening even earlier; that is apparently the new norm these days for what used to be post Thanksgiving sales.
In fact, the list of stores that are already open has been growing by the hour.
Bass Pro Shops stores opened at 8 a.m., a continuation of their 40 year tradition.
Family Dollar stores also opened at 8. Walgreens‘ automatic doors slid open at 9.
Michaels stores are opening at 4 with doorbuster deals for your crafting and decorating needs.
Toys R Us, Target and Walmart are all are opening at 8, as are Sears and Sears Outlet stores.
The push is no doubt a battle for holiday spending, starting early enough to make shoppers choose between hot deals and hot pumpkin pie after their turkey.
