DURANT, OK – Choctaw Casino Resort is getting into the holiday spirit by creating an outdoor Winter Wonderland by the pool.

The celebration hosts a number of events for the entire family, including a choreographed light show, an innovative synthetic ice skating rink, visits with Santa and more. And best of all, it’s free!

“We’re so excited to celebrate the season with this dazzling display of holiday spirit that is fun for the entire family,” said Janie Dillard, executive director of gaming for Choctaw Casino Resort. “Winter Wonderland is the first event of its kind here at the casino, complete with a breathtaking light show and ice skating rink, and we hope it will become a treasured holiday tradition for our guests and their families.”

The synchronized light show is set to holiday music and boasts over 120,000 lights. Santa will make appearances, accompanied by his strolling elves, reindeer, snowmen and carolers. And the synthetic ice skating rink, made from recycled polymer, is environmentally friendly and ready all season!

Too cold? Then stay warm with festive holiday treats, like hot chocolate and hot apple cider.

Here’s a schedule of events for the holiday season!

Choreographed Light Show

• Now through Jan. 6 from 5:30-10 p.m. (show every half hour)

Ice Rink

• Now through Jan. 6 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• 45 minute session for $10 per person

Santa’s Hours

• Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 23
  from noon to 5pm.
• Monday, Dec. 24 from 10 am to 5pm.
