COLLEGE STATION (AP) – Texas A&M University police say two brothers who are former Corps of Cadets band members have been charged with burglarizing unoccupied dormitories during football games.
University police allege the siblings are responsible for more than 45 burglaries.
Brazos County Jail records show 24-year-old Jovan Ashley Martinez of College Station was free on $15,000 bond on three counts of burglary of a habitation. Online jail records did not list an attorney for Martinez, who was arrested Monday and released Tuesday.
University police issued a burglary warrant for Eleazar Martinez.
Police say more than two dozen rooms were burglarized Nov. 17 as A&M beat Sam Houston State 47-28. Computers, cash, clothing and jewelry, including Aggie rings, were taken. Police using a search warrant recovered some items from the home of Eleazar Martinez.
