CHANCE OF STORMS LATE THIS EVENING INTO THE EARLY OVERNIGHT HOURS…
A line of storms out in west Texas will be moving east as we go thru the evening hours. This line has been creating severe weather with a few tornado reports and wind gust reports to 70 mph. One person was killed in Randall County, Texas, when a semi rolled over.
The line will weaken as it moves east.
I expect the line of showers and embedded thunderstorms will push into the DFW Metroplex between about 10pm and 2am. This line is moving very fast at 50 mph. So as the line comes through it won’t rain very long in any one location.
Here is what the map will look like around 11pm.
I don’t expect severe weather with this line, but a few storms for some can be expected. A strong storm cannot be ruled out for areas west of Fort Worth. But overall the threat of severe weather is low at this time.
RAIN WELL EAST BY DAYBREAK SATURDAY…
We will have dry weather and mild weather for the weekend. Temperatures Saturday and Sunday will top out around 70 degrees both days. There will be breezy SW winds which will lead to an elevated fire danger on both days.
