DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) – The Dallas Mavericks recalled rookie guard Jared Cunningham on Monday from the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League.
Cunningham was assigned to the Legends on Dec. 11 and played in 7 games with the team. He averaged 18.1 points, 3.0 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 37.0 minutes.
Before being assigned, he appeared in seven games and averaged 2.3 points and 3.4 minutes per game for the Mavericks.
Cunningham will travel with the Mavericks on their upcoming trip to Washington and Miami and will be available against the Wizards on Jan. 1.
Cunningham was selected 24th overall by the Mavericks in the 2012 Draft out of Oregon State University. Cunningham was selected first-team All-Pac 12 as a junior when he averaged 17.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
