FLOWER MOUND (CBSDFW.COM) – Police in Flower Mound are investigating a shooting. A man was found shot multiple times in the parking lot of a shopping center late Tuesday night. He was pronounced dead on Wednesday morning.
The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Lamont Darnell White of Justin. Officials said that he was heading home from work at a Target store in Lewisville.
According to police, the victim was shot in the head and rushed by air ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Dallas in critical condition. He was found in the front seat of a white Mazda sedan. Police said that nobody else was in the car, which was parked in front of a dog grooming shop. Officials are not sure if the shop has anything to do with the incident.
No suspects have been arrested, but police do believe that the shooter knew White in some capacity.
