DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A 60-year-old North Texas woman is found dead over the weekend and investigators believe she was killed during a burglary.

Dallas police officers found the body of Roberta Moore inside her Pleasant Grove apartment. Moore is believed to have been killed sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Members of Moore’s family became concerned when attempts to contact the woman failed. Moore’s sisters went to her apartment on Scyene Road to check on her and found one of her windows broken — the women immediately called police. After entering the apartment, officers found Moore dead.

While police have not said exactly how Moore was killed a DPD statement said there was “evidence of homicidal violence” at the crime scene.

Dallas police say the investigation into the murder is ongoing.
