MCKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) - A suspect is in custody after a robbery, chase and shooting in McKinney on Sunday night. The incident started at about 10:00 p.m. when a man allegedly robbed a Tetco gas station near the intersection of Highway 75 and Highway 380. He attempted to flee from the scene, but got stuck in a road construction area.

Off-duty police officers at the construction zone started to chase the suspect, leading him into a neighborhood near Parkwood Drive and Lake Forest Drive. At some point during the chase, the officers fired at the vehicle and struck it several times.

The suspect eventually jumped out of the car. He was captured, unharmed, a short time later. Items from the robbery were found in his vehicle.

Police have not said what kind of charges the suspect will now face.
