We expect another wonderful winter day here in north Texas today, highs reaching into the upper 60′s in the metro area.
For Martin Luther King Day on Monday it’s going to be a colder. Some very cold arctic air is getting into the Central Plains and Great Lakes. We are going to get a glancing blow of this cold air:
Highs on Monday will stay in the low 50′s across the metro area, in the 40′s just to the north from Denton over to Paris. We’ll have partly sunny skies and a breeze from the northeast at 15-20 mph.
Temperatures will start to warm again starting the next day.
After some beneficial rains in the first half of the month some dry weather has returned to our part of Texas. We might get a trace of rain in our eastern counties on Monday as the cold front comes through. The next chance of rain comes on Friday with a yet another glancing blow of cold winter air. Before that it could hit 70° on Thursday with some strong south winds:
