PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - A man in Plano is dead after his pickup truck crashed into a tree early Tuesday morning. The incident happened just before 1:00 a.m. along eastbound Hedgcoxe Road, near the intersection with Union Drive.
According to police at the scene, the driver of a Nissan pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle, just west of Independence Parkway. The driver crashed and died on the scene. His name was not released, but he is said to be in his 30s.
Nobody else was in the truck at the time of the crash.
Police said that there were no obvious signs of alcohol being involved in this crash, but an investigation is still taking place.
