SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Two instructors at a South Texas base that provides basic training for the Air Force face separate court-martials on charges arising from a sex scandal.

Staff Sgt. Eddy Soto and Staff Sgt. Donald Davis have been scheduled for military trials to begin Monday at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

Soto is accused of adultery, having unprofessional relationships with a trainee and a trainee’s spouse and making a false official statement. Davis is charged with abusive sexual contact, assault and battery and having a sexual relationship with a trainee.

In all, 32 basic-training instructors have been under investigation at Lackland, with six being convicted of misconduct. Investigators say more than 40 women at Lackland had inappropriate contact with instructors or were sexually harassed or raped.
