DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A shooting suspect is on the loose in Oak Cliff after an extended standoff failed to yield the alleged shooter on Wednesday night.
Dallas Police responded to a reported shooting in the 1800 block of Atlas in East Oak Cliff around 8:45 p.m. Upon arriving, officers discovered one female had been shot.
Witness’s told officers that a possible suspect entered a residence on Atlas and was not seen leaving. Police surrounded the residence and contacted SWAT.
Officials obtained a search warrant and entered the house. The SWAT team cleared the location, but no one was found inside.
The victim was transported to Methodist Central Hospital. Her condition is unknown.
This offense is still under investigation.
