NEW YORK (CBS NEWS) - Nestle Prepared Foods is recalling some boxes of frozen Lean Cuisine ravioli due to possible glass shards in the products.
The company announced on February 8 that packages of Lean Cuisine Culinary Collection Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli with the UPC 13800-58358 were being voluntary recalled. The two production codes associated with the recall are 2311587812 and 2312587812, and the packages have a “best before date” of December 2013.
These products were distributed nationwide, but were made during two production days in early November 2012.
Nestle said it started the recall when three consumers said they had found glass in the ravioli, according to a press release. No one has been injured. The company believes many of the affected products have been purchased and are no longer available in stores, so they are asking consumers to check their freezers just in case they have the boxes.
If you find yourself in possession of one of the products, contact Nestle Consumer Services at (866) 586-9424 or leancuisine@casupport.com.
