DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM)– One person is dead after a fire at a Dallas apartment complex Sunday afternoon.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded around 5 p.m. to a 1-alarm fire at the River Park Apartments on Montfort Drive, in North Dallas.
When they arrived, officials say fire was coming out of a front window of a first floor unit of the 2-story building.
They kicked open the door and quickly extinguished the fire, but a man was found dead inside.
Of the eight units in the building, only two were damaged. No one else was injured.
The cause of the fire and how the man died are under investigation.
