Three Small Earthquakes Shake Ellis County

ELLIS COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – A pair of small overnight earthquakes and an additional early evening quake has people in Ellis County shaking their heads.

The first earthquake hit around 3:30 Sunday morning near Waxahachie.  It registered as a 2.4.  The second happened roughly an hour and a half later at 5:56 near Glenn Heights and was a 2.5 in strength.

Then Sunday afternoon, just after 6:00 p.m. a third earthquake was reported near Midlothian that was recorded as a 2.7 quake.

Each of the earthquakes have been listed as being 3.1 miles in depth.

There have been no reports of any injuries or damage.
