Klyde Warren Park is going to be a major destination this weekend. The festivities kick off with “Good Friday In The Park” hosted by Fellowship Church. From 7pm – 9pm enjoy the food trucks, live music, a special message from Pastor Ed Young, even communion for the entire city.
Campus Pastor Pace Hartfield shared with CBS 11 why they decided to hold the event at the park. “Klyde Warren Park is the premiere destination right now in Dallas. We’re a community church. We’re all about community ,so we’re always where the people are. The people in Dallas are at Klyde Warren Park, so that’s why we’re here.”
Even parking tonight is free! Park at Fellowship Church on Ross Avenue, they will have continuous shuttles to Klyde Warren or you can take a walk through the Arts District.
Celia Barshop, VP of Business Affairs for the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation told us tonight is only the beginning.
“We have our very own Spring Celebration occurring tomorrow from noon to 5 p.m. It will include an Easter Bunny for photographs. Our arts and craft team will be out here working and creating some really fun stuff. We will have a petting zoo with bunnies everyone can play with. We have a whole lot of activities including local musicians on stage.”
