DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Only if you are a true NFL Draft junkie do you care about the complete list of the 218 prospects who will compete Sunday and Monday at Cowboys Stadium in the NFL’s Super Regional Combine. And really, only if you really refuse to give up the dream are you among the 218, as this group is made up of prospects who didn’t get invited to the Combine in Indianapolis, prospects who may have fallen through the football cracks, prospects who believe they deserve one more look.
The Super Regional is an NFL-wide look, though the Cowboys will obviously serve as hosts and be eyeballing the talent as well. And it’s worth noting, while these are long-shot guys, last year’s Super Regions did end up producing 14 players who participated in NFL games last year.
The Regional Combine process may be best-known, however, for the gimmick that was the March 3 workout of Lauren Silberman, who paid her $275 entry fee and despite having never played football before, tried out as a kicker. She wobbled one kick 19 yards before saying she’d injured her leg.
I’ve scanned the list. No ladies here, I do not believe. We’re about to see if there are any NFL players in the bunch.
