FORT WORTH (CBS 11 NEWS) – The 15 year old Little Elm girl, who was reported missing, has been found safe. J’teria Bell contacted and was reunited with her grandmother at the Carrollton Police Department, according to a posting on the City of Little Elm’s Facebook page.
LITTLE ELM (CBSDFW.COM) — Police fear a North Texas teenage girl may be in danger after she ran away from her home following an argument with her parents.
On Monday night, investigators say 15-year-old J’teria Bell got into a fight with her parents over cell phone and computer use and had access to both taken away. The next morning, J’teria went missing.
“We know that on Tuesday morning her mother dropped her off at Little Elm High School to start the school day. We know through surveillance cameras that she entered the building, maneuvered down the hallway, and then walked off campus,” says Captain Rodney Harrison with the Little Elm Police Department. “Since that time she’s had no contact with her family or her known close friends…basically she has just walked off and we have no signs of actual foul play, but the mere fact that she is 15 and has not been in contact with her parents…we’re just worried about her safety and welfare.”
Harrison is concerned that J’teria, who is without a cell phone, is vulnerable as a teenage girl all alone on the streets.
J’Teria is roughly 5-foot-3 and wears eyeglasses. Anyone with information about J’Teria is encouraged to contact the Little Elm Police Department at 214-975-0460.
