FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – A 12-year-old boy was killed and another male was wounded during a drive-by shooting in east Fort Worth. The incident happened around 11:00 p.m. Saturday night, when an unknown assailant or assailants drove past a home in the 4400 block of Eastover Avenue and opened fire multiple times.

The shooting happened as the victims were outside of the home. The boy was shot twice in the head and taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. He died around 1:00 a.m. Monday morning. The other victim — a man whose age is not known — was shot in the leg. He was taken to a local trauma hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

The deceased child has been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as James Hardemon.
