North Texas recieved some much needed rainfall overnight and into this morning. Most locations recieved rain, with some recieving over an inch. Here’s a look at the rainfall totals since Midnight Thursday.

Also of note, We have our first tropical storm of the season. Tropical Storm Andrea was declared a tropical storm yesterday by the National Hurricane Center. As of 4pm, Andrea was centered just offshore about 80 mile SE of Tallahasse, FL, or 35 mi NW of Cedar Key, FL. General movement is to the NE at 17mph. Tropical storm warnings are in effect for the western Florida coast and the Atlantic coast from near Jacksonville, FL up to near Norfolk, VA.

As the rain moves out tonight, the jet stream will move into more of a “ridging” pattern. Which will divert all the storm systems to our north and east, leaving us with Mostly Sunny, drier, and warmer weather. Some locations could be approaching 100 next week! Here’s your 7 day forecast.
