Yesterday high temps managed to make it to 100 degrees in Dallas and Granbury while the mercury peaked in the middle and upper 90s for the Metroplex. Today we’ll target similar highs with slightly more humidity. Additionally, south winds will be a bit breezier.
Triple digit heat will start to become more pervasive in the Pandhandle today with Amarillo getting close to 100 and areas like Dalhart, Dumas, Borger and Perryton likely being a few degrees hotter. This area of triple digit heat will continue to build from the Pandhandles south and southeastward through the western half of North Texas through the remainder of the week.
