North Texas Teen’s Bieber Dream Comes True

DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) – An Anna teen is getting an unexpected second dream come true by meeting Justin Bieber in person at Wednesday night’s Dallas concert at the American Airlines Center.

Nicole Stockman is recovering from surgery due to a tumor. The offer to meet Bieber was totally unexpected.

“I was shocked at first, I didn’t understand. I said, ‘Wait, what?’ And like, ‘Oh, my gosh, this is amazing!'”

What’s amazing is Nicole Stockman got to meet Bieber backstage before the concert. As dedicated fans lined up outside the AAC in the midday heat, screaming for the attention of Justin Bieber’s manager, Nicole was getting concert swag and makeup tips from Essence Cosmetics, a company helping sponsor Bieber’s tour.

“This is actually the bag she’s going to get, ” said Amanda Keller of Essence. “They only make 200 of them; she also gets the button which gives them access to actually meet Justin Bieber.”

We first met Nicole last month when Make-A-Wish North Texas made her wish of a wonderfully fantastic tree house come true. Then Essence saw our story and learned she also dreamed of meeting Bieber, so Essence decided to make that happen, too.

“I couldn’t believe it, I was in shock and just thrilled beyond belief,” Nicole’s mom, Michelle Stockman told CBS 11 News.

Nicole added, “I remember all the nice people that helped me be here today, and that’s pretty awesome.” They’re especially grateful to Make-A-Wish North Texas and its volunteers.

Essence arranged for Nicole to get cosmetics advice to prepare for a Bieber introduction and its photo opportunity. Walgreen’s Pat Dotson was her beauty advisor.

“I look for something that’s light, lightweight, nothing too heavy, just something to bring out their beauty. Their eyes, their lips, something that they feel very special.”

And Nicole was prepared for the meet-and-greet of a lifetime.

“I’m going to be terrified,” she said, “but it’s going to be amazing. It’s going to be awesome.”
