UNT Looking For Married Couples To Participate In Conflict Study
DENTON (KRLD) — Would you be willing to talk about the conflicts in your marriage in the name of science?
UNT is looking for volunteers to participate in a study to be run by Dr. Joshua Hook in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Texas.
Marciana Ramos is one of the PhD candidates at UNT who will be working on the study. She says that they are looking to interview over 100 married couples.
“All couples have ongoing conflicts. There are things that they disagree about on a fundamental level,” says Ramos. The study will look at the couples handle those conflicts, and what is going on inside their bodies during the conversations about serious issues with their spouses. “So, we will be taking their blood pressure and measuring their heart rate.”
Ramos says that this study will consist of three sessions ranging from 30 to 90 minutes each. To sign-up or get more information, UNT is asking people to call (978) 204-3038.
