OXNARD, Calif. (105.3 THE FAN) – Dallas Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer underwent surgery on his left knee on Thursday in Dallas to “take out the trash,’’ as he put it.
“The surgery was successful,” Spencer’s agent Jordan Woy tells 105.3 The Fan. “Everything went well.’’
Though the announced recovery time is four weeks, Spencer has a bone bruise/fracture that a Cowboys source – even while certain it is not serious – concede could require as much as six weeks of rest.
“Anthony might feel fine in a few weeks and be ready to go,’’ Woy said. “He wants to make sure he’s healthy, but he’s also excited to go help the Cowboys on the field.’’
