DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) – Four years in the making, the rematch between top welterweights Martin Kampmann and Carlos Condit airs tonight on FOX Sports 1 as the main event for UFC Fight Night 27.
The first contest ended with Kampmann taking a closely fought split decision, spoiling Condit’s UFC debut. Since then, Condit has held the interim welterweight belt and challenged Georges St. Pierre in a title unification bout. Kampmann has remained a contender (ranked #6 in the division by The UFC), but losses to fellow contenders have thus far kept him from earning a title shot.
With a win tonight, Condit is likely to challenge the winner of the Georges St. Pierre/Johny Hendricks welterweight championship fight scheduled for November. Kampmann meanwhile can upset Condit’s path with a victory that would like likely push him into the division’s top 5 rankings.

UFC Fight Night 27: Condit vs. Kampmann 2 airs tonight on FOX Sports 1 from Indianapolis at 7:00 pm central time.
