Fort Worth Man Wins Big With Donation
DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) – Tim Martinez of Fort Worth got to do much more than meet his favorite radio show this holiday season. Martinez was the highest bidder for an auction that 105.3 The Fan created called, “Be An Angel,” benefiting Children’s Medical Center.
The three day event was a first for the radio station, and raised thousands of dollars for Children’s Medical Center.
“I started calling in on Wednesday during G-Bag Nation, and was able to make the winning bid for Friday’s package during K&C Masterpiece,” Martinez emphatically denoted.
The package that Martinez bid on, and eventually took home, included exclusive perks from the Dallas Mavericks, Texas Motor Speedway, Legends Hospitality, and the Hotel Palomar.
Tim’s winning bid also got him signed memorabilia from Jerry West and Texas Rangers pitcher Derek Holland.
Mr. Martinez was delighted over his winning bid, but his true motivation was to help the patients and families of Children’s Medical Center.
“The package is great, I’m not going to deny that, but I did this for the kids, that’s the main thing,” said Martinez.
105.3 The Fan plans to continue the “Be An Angel” auction annually, with hopes of growing interest, awareness and funds for Children’s Medical Center in the process.
