We have two national sporting events in the metroplex this weekend and the weather simply is NOT cooperating.
There is a 80% rain chance at Texas Motor Speedway today. It’s a cloudy, wet day with a brisk north wind during the mid–day hours. Highs in the upper 50’s? That’s what is normal for a day in early January not early April:
Our Final Four guests have the day todayto explore the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. Bring along an umbrella. Rain chances return in the second half of the day on Monday:
A suface low hass formed along a stalled out front over the Texas Gulf waters. This low is pulling moisture over this pool of cold air at the surface. The result is a day of rain, it’ll peak mid-day and start to wane as we get into late afternoon:
Tonight the rain should start to pull away to the east:
As the surface low strengthens to our east over Tennessee/Kentucky the backside of the system will wrap in yet another round of rain and storms. The better chance is in the afternoon hours:
Just as everyone is leaving for the Final Four game on Monday we have great April weather returning to north Texas. It’ll be dry and in the 80’s to close the work week. Rain chances return… wait for it… next weekend.
