DALLAS (AP) - A Dallas man has pleaded guilty to federal charges that he shared stolen data and committed other acts in collaboration with the hacker collective Anonymous.

Barrett Lancaster Brown entered his plea Tuesday in federal court in Dallas.

Brown was arrested two years ago after posting YouTube videos and tweets threatening to investigate an FBI agent. He was then indicted for sharing links to information stolen from an Austin-based company by hackers linked to Anonymous.

The 32-year-old Brown pleaded guilty Tuesday to obstructing the execution of a search warrant, making Internet threats and being an accessory to an unauthorized access of a protected computer.

Prosecutors had dismissed several charges that raised the ire of free-speech advocates.
