ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - With George Strait’s concert, the Texas Rangers game and a big weekend for Six Flags over Texas and Hurricane Harbor, it was already set to be a busy Saturday on Arlington roads.  A major morning accident on Highway 360 has added to the traffic headaches for Arlington drivers.

An 18-wheeler overturned in the northbound lanes of SH 360 about 10:30 a.m., spilling several large pieces of concrete pipe onto the northbound lanes of the highway and the median area. Additional pieces of concrete conduit also rolled down the embankment into the lanes of Mayfield Road below the overpass of S.H. 360. The accident also caused significant damage to the overhead sign that spans across all northbound lanes of the highway. Clean up continues and the accident is still under investigation.

The accident closed all SH 360 northbound lanes at Mayfield and the exit ramps from west and east bound IH 20 are also closed for northbound SH 360.

The closure was expected to last until at least 5 p.m., possibly longer. Drivers were encouraged to take alternate routes and follow @ArlingtonPD on Twitter for traffic updates.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
