Seven days into June and EVERY day so far has been in the 90’s. Saturday is fact tied for the hottest day so far this year (96° Saturday and on May 4th).

Saturday was also the day that the ” normal” daily high hit 90°. It’ll be in the 90’s for the next 98 days, until mid-September, peaking in the last days of July into early August at 97°:

Average High of 90

Welcome to the heat of summer.

We watched a line of T’storms overnight move toward north Texas. We are finally in the glide path of afternoon storms on the plains. Over the last couple of days all we’ve seen from the storm track is morning clouds. Storms stayed well to our north. This storm path has shifted south; over the next couple of days/nights we have not only a threat of severe weather but heavy rain:

NTX Rain Chances Sun NightMonday

This will be the first rain of June; some areas will get over 2″ over the next two days. Highs Monday and Tuesday will stay in the 80’s.

After this event we jump right back to the 90 degree weather.
