State Fair Of Texas Announces Musical Lineup

DALLAS, Texas (1080 KRLD) - It’s hard to believe that we’re just three months away from the State Fair of Texas. You can tell it’s close because they’re making some major announcements.
It’s always a popular feature of the State Fair, the constant stream of live music on the Chevy Main Stage in the afternoon and evenings.
On Monday morning, the acts that they’ll feature for this year’s event were announced.
The first evening at the State Fair, September 26th, we get to see one of the sensations from the TV show The Voice, The Swon Brothers from Oklahoma.
The next day, it’s the 3rd season winner of American Idol, Fantasia Barrino.
Other big names this year include country artist Lucy Hale, who stars as Aria Montgomery in ABC Family’s hit show “Pretty Little Liars.”
On Saturday October 3, you can ‘get down’ with the legendary Kool and the Gang.
The inaugural Red River Music Fest makes its debut on Saturday, October 11, starring red dirt country artists Deryl Dodd, Cody Canada & The Departed, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, and the Casey Donahew Band.
Singer Becky G performs, Monday, October 13th, with an array of songs like her hit single, “Play It Again.”
Rockers Collective Soul take the stage Saturday night, October 18th.
La Maquinaria Norteña will be closing out the Fair on Sunday, October 19th.
