We have a weather pattern building in that promises some hot and dry weather. Here are the forecasted highs for today and Monday:

A ridge of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere over the western half of the U.S. will join up with high pressure over the deep south. This translates to hot weather over most of the country by the middle to the end of the work week:

Here is one of our long-range models showing scant rain chances over north Texas for most of the week:

In the extended its looking like the hottest weather of the summer so far is ahead of us. No significant rain chances as it looks now:
