80s For Highs In July & Some Rain Chances!
All the talk will be on the cold front that arrives on Tuesday next week. But before the front gets here we have a hot weekend. And we could reach 100 for the first time this year on either Saturday or Sunday.
HOW DO YOU GET A COLD FRONT IN JULY?
It doesn’t happen often but the upper level pattern next week will resemble something more common in the fall. The upper level high that usually dominates our weather in summer will retreat back to the west. A strong upper level low will dive out of Canada and stall over the Midwest. This will dislodged the cool Canadian air and send it south.
The cold front should arrive on Tuesday and rain chances will be possible with the front. Wednesday may not see much rain, but Thursday and Friday of next week have the potential to be really good rain days for us.
CHECK OUT THE COOL AIR
Below is the forecast temperatures for the central part of the country. Note how cool it gets in the Great Lakes. Highs in the 50s and 60s in July! Record low highs and record lows will be possible in this area of the country.
Right now I am going to go a little conservative on rain chances for next week. But I do think that maybe one or two days from Tuesday thru Friday next week we will see large areas of rain. High temperatures will be 10 to 15 degrees below average next Thursday and Friday! Enjoy that!
